This must be an ancient art where silk thread is woven the way an artist paints. It was found in a house being emptied when an elderly lady was vacating after being there since the 1920’s. The picture shows an old man smoking a pipe and holding a leather pouch of tobacco. The artist’s name is Seido Sakamaki and he is a master embroiderer. The label on the back gives name and address.
